THE ART OF LASTING FRAGRANCE

THE ART OF LASTING FRAGRANCE

Discover why fragrance concentration matters and what makes a perfume last. A little scent knowledge from UY Studio Berlin.

What's the Difference Between Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette?

More fragrance oil. Less fragrance oil. That's essentially where the difference begins.

Eau de Parfum typically contains 10 to 20% fragrance concentrate while Eau de Toilette usually sits around 5 to 15%. But more doesn't automatically mean better. A light citrus perfume can disappear faster than a deep woody scent regardless of concentration. Some ingredients simply last longer than others.

Perfume doesn't actually smell the same on everyone. Skin, temperature and even the weather can change how a fragrance develops.

Why Do We Only Make Eau de Parfum?

Because we like a fragrance with a little presence.

Not necessarily louder. Just something that stays with you, changes throughout the day and becomes familiar without losing its character.

At UY Studio, we work with Eau de Parfum for the skin and Room Sprays with 25% fragrance oil for your space. Different ways of wearing a mood. Because a good fragrance doesn't need to announce your arrival. Sometimes it's more interesting when someone notices after you've left.
